Trials of Sensibility & Skulls

This is a fantastic game that takes you through crazy obstacles in the midst of battling a romance. Join the pirates, Marianne and Elinor as they search for treasure but instead find love. It's a pure love story you will not find in any other board game.

Objective: Pirate Captain Dashwood has died. Previous to his death he has banished several crewmembers including Marianne and her sister Elinor for trying to take control over his ship. now they are traversing the land and seas trying to find their own fortune. However, fate has a different road for them.
The main object to this game is to retrieve the highest amount of 'Relationship' scores as possible.


 RULES
Equipment/Set up:The game can be played with two players or with two teams containing two persons in each team. The players can choose whether they want to be Marianne or Elinor.

 Set 'Object' and 'Relationship' cards in appointed area and place the players at the start. Whoever rolls highest number on the die goes first.

 Game play: You can move your players by rolling the die. Also you can choose which direction you wish to go on the board. when you land on a 'Relationship' tile or an 'Object' tile, pick up the respected card and proceed with the instructions on the card. 'Relationship' cards are worth one point. if there is a tie, count the 'Object' cards as well.

 The Making of Trials of Sensibility & Skulls
This board game was tricky to do because we had to include pirates into the game which was hard to do. So as a result, we got together and we exchanged ideas for a day I think. We had such a hard time coming up with a main goal for this board game. Sometimes, it would be back and forth with "I don't think this idea will work" or "I think we are making this game too complicated" etc....
Finally we came up with a solid idea and we were able to continue with building the board game.

About Sense and Sensibility
This board game follows the storyline of the book Sense and Sensibility written by Jane Austen.
We chose Sense & Sensibility because we wanted to be unique from other groups in our class and we also thought that the book was interesting. Sense and Sensibility is about three sisters(however the book mainly focuses on two) who evidently have to manage in life with a small income. Shortly after their father died, all of his possessions were given to his son leaving Marianne, Elinor, their mother, and their third sister with barely nothing. When they move in with their brother, certain gentlemen come into their lives and changes their futures entirely.
